Understanding the Tietze Syndrome
Understanding the Tietze syndrome is a hard task, especially because of the confusing symptoms and signs that come about in this condition. In a nutshell, the Tietze syndrome is defined as a benign inflammation of one or more costal cartilages. The Tietze syndrome was first discovered in 1921 by German surgeon Alexander Tietze, hence the name, and it has been confused with the condition known as costochondritis since the beginning.
